I didn't think Rhetoric of the Image could be beaten but Torpor have used it as a base to push everything further on Abscission. Stunning mixes of doom, sludge, post-metal and drone combine to make a record that only has one flaw - it finishes. I fucking love Torpor and this is an incredible achievement.
